Almost a monkey [Sep. 29th, 2005|11:16 am]
You Are A: Groundhog!

groundhogGroundhogs are cuddly-looking and timid mammals that eat mostly grass, seeds, and other vegetation. As a groundhog you will rarely stray far from your burrow and will run in the face of danger, but you will defend their home fiercely from predators. Groundhogs are even given their own holiday in the US, during which a groundhog is said to predict how long winter weather will last!

You were almost a: Bear Cub or a Monkey
You are least like a: Chipmunk or a PonyTake the Cute Animal Test

The No-Hassle Day Planner for the Clinically Insane by MilesToGo13
This morning, you should...go for your morning walk, informing all other passing pedestrians about the importance of proper badger safety.
Then, after lunch...pretend that you are a mime on a busy street corner, and push anyone who seems to be enjoying your show into traffic.
Dinner will consist of...a hundred shotgunned pixie sticks, and some heroin for good measure.
Afterwards, you set off into the evening to...pass out the pamphlets you had made up preaching the divine word of Squiknor, lord of the lemmings, who shall inherit the earth when all the non-believers are gone.
At the height of your madness, you will callflukie2001
And the two of you will proceed to...have an intense shouting match that the police will be called to over which chipmunk was Chip, and which one was Dale.

A couple of these didn't have the answer I would really pick. Like the "route" one where I pronounce the verb as rhyming with "out" (like: to route a circuit board) and the noun as rhyming with "boot". Also, I pronounce "Mary" and "marry" the same while "merry" is different (BECAUSE IT'S SPELLED WITH A FRICKIN' "E" YOU TROGLODYTES!).

Also, I'm surprised mine is so different from Tastybrains since we tend to speak in a similar fashion. WTF do they mean by "Yankee"? Northeastern? New Yorkian?

35% General American English

10% Dixie

5% Upper Midwestern

New PC [Feb. 16th, 2005|11:42 am]
I went all out this time.  I've received some of these already(*), the rest is on its way.

Aerocool "Spiral Galaxies" quasi-BTX case*
AMD Athlon 3500+ 939 pin, 90nm*
Corsair XMS TwinX 1024-3200XLPT, 2-2-2-5 Timings*
BFG 6800 GT OC 256MB, Dual DVI (SLI ready)*
OCZ Modstream 520W PSU*
Thermalright XP-120 HSF*
Western Digital Raptor II 74GB SATA 10K RPM HDD*
NEC ND-3520A/GNB 16X Dual Layer DVD+-RW*
Creative Audigy 2 ZS* (not best sound, but best hardware acceleration)
Samsung Floppy Drive (so I can install XP. grr!)
2x UV LED banks (since PSU and DFI board have UV glow cables/connectors, why not?)

The hardware I've gotten so far has impressed me with the build quality.  This thing better not break.  Ever.

I'll probably write up a comprehensive guide on the Wordhole when it's all done.
